À propos de Salome
I am Salome, an Indian student pursuing a Master's in International Relations at the International Institute in Geneva. Before this, I spent seven years as a Technology Consultant at Oracle and Deloitte in Bangalore — where I was repeatedly recognized for my ability to train people and explain complex concepts simply and clearly.
I hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, so Mathematics is not just something I studied — it is something I have used professionally.
I tutor Math for students aged 10–15 (Classes 5–10), covering Swiss, international, and Indian curricula. I work especially well with students who feel anxious about Math or are transitioning between school systems. I teach in English and can bridge explanations in Hindi when helpful.
Sessions available online or in person in Geneva. Progress notes shared with parents on request.

My teaching method will have 3 comprehensive steps:
Step 1: Make the student understand why a concept exists (the logic behind it)
Step 2: How it works (the method)
Step 3: Applying it through progressively harder practice problems
I adapt to the student’s preferred way of learning, visuals or real-world examples or repetition, etc.
A typical 60-minute session with me follows a clear structure:
1. We begin with a 5–10 minute review of what was covered last time
2. The next 20–25 minutes are dedicated to the new topic or a concept they are struggling with in school
3. The following 20 minutes are independent practice — the student solves problems while I observe
4. The final 5–10 minutes are used to summarize what was learned, clarify any remaining doubts
My Math tutoring is designed for students from Class 5 through Class 10, which corresponds to ages 10–15 and covers the Swiss Cycle d'orientation and the final years of Swiss primary school (école primaire), as well as the equivalent levels in international schools in Geneva such as the International School of Geneva, Institut International de Lancy, and similar.
