À propos de Tyra
Travelling as a kid made me realise that languages are much more than just a school subject, but rather an opportunity to open doors to different future choices. That's when I developed an interest and passion for language learning. I am a native German and English speaker who is currently learning French and would love to learn Turkish and Spanish in the future.
For instance, in school, I was always considered to be the girl who helped her friends study foreign languages; therefore, I'm quite familiar with teaching and helping other people with their understanding of a subject overall.
I personally lived in a foreign country myself for approximately 5 years; this life experience allows me to empathise with my future students' struggles to adapt to a new culture or language barrier.

In my opinion, language learning works best when it's clear, structured, and genuinely engaging. Practised material isn't supposed to be solely used in classes but should also be useful for daily life scenarios. I would approach my classes by combining careful explanation, plenty of practice, and material that tailors to your interests, so students don't just memorise material but actually understand it and, most importantly, feel confident using it. Having studied both German and English Literature at A Level, I bring a solid academic foundation to every lesson, while keeping things approachable and easy to follow.
I myself currently am learning French for a couple of months, which allows me to learn how to build a solid structure, build steps for my future students and understand the hardships of learning a new language.

Tyra helped tutor me English and German! She is a wonderful, patient and supportive teacher. Every lesson was perfectly tailored to me and my learning style, she helped with my linguistics enormously. I came to her with a A2 level English and A1 level German and not only did she help me improve but she made sure I understood and exceeded. I am now fluent C1 English and B1 German. Her lessons with me had a large emphasis on speaking, which was exactly what I needed, as well as included a mix of grammar and vocabulary. I highly recommend Tyra to anyone looking for help in learning any language!
She is a super english teacher, very warm and sympathetic! She has patience and shows care toward her work. Definitely recommend!
Tyra is a lovely person with tons of patience and respect towards her students. She is incredibly smart and can help your kid immensely. She is very reliable and creative, so your child won’t ever be bored in her classes!
