Before studying with Elena, I thought mostly in terms of accuracy. She helped me understand that sound, timing and phrasing are what make the music communicate. That changed the quality of my playing completely. I now think much more about meaning, character and how the music reaches the listener, not simply about getting through the notes correctly.

What surprised me most was the emotional effect of this work. Elena is rigorous, of course, but never dry. As the structure of the music became clearer, I found I could connect to it much more deeply and play with greater freedom and confidence. The lessons are serious, but they also make the instrument feel more personal and more rewarding.

As an adult returning to the piano, I needed more than encouragement — I needed someone who could restore order and help me understand how to work independently again. Elena does exactly that. Her guidance is precise, demanding and extremely clear, but it always leads towards greater autonomy. Between lessons I no longer feel lost; I know what to listen for and how to practise with purpose.

What I appreciate most is that Elena never treats music as a sequence of instructions. She teaches phrasing as something alive, with direction, tension and release. The lessons are highly structured, but the result is not mechanical playing. My understanding of the music has deepened, and with it my playing has become much more expressive and convincing.

Elena combine rigueur et attention individuelle. Les cours sont sérieux, mais toujours calmes et constructifs. Je recommande pour les adultes motivés et prêts à travailler régulièrement.

J’ai commencé le piano à l’âge adulte sans formation préalable. Elena propose une méthode très structurée, avec des objectifs précis à chaque étape. Le travail est organisé et progressif. Je constate une évolution régulière et solide.

Il y a quelques mois, je ne savais pas jouer du piano. Aujourd’hui, grâce à Elena Grinevich (professeure russe, cours en ligne en anglais), je suis capable d’interpréter des pièces complexes ! Ce qui m’impressionne le plus, c’est sa capacité à transmettre les subtilités techniques tout en maintenant un environnement positif. Le fait que les cours soient en anglais et à distance n’affecte en rien la qualité de l’enseignement. Un véritable plaisir d’apprendre avec elle!

Nous tenons à remercier Elena Grinevich pour l’excellent travail accompli avec notre fille, Léa. Elena, originaire de Russie, a préparé Léa aux examens ABRSM en ligne, exclusivement en anglais. Le résultat ? Une mention «Distinction» au Grade 5 ! La méthode structurée, la rigueur russe combinée à une pédagogie adaptée aux enfants ont fait toute la différence.
