You will learn foundational strokes, letter formation, and how to connect letters with control and consistency. By the end of the session, you will complete your first finished lettering piece.

For Brush Calligraphy
• Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip brush pen
• Tombow Fudenosuke Soft Tip brush pen
• Tombow Dual Brush Pen (any color)
• Vellum or tracing paper
• Smooth Laser Printer Paper (120 gsm (or “32 lb”))

For Pointed Pen Calligraphy
• Oblique pen holder (recommended) or straight holder
• Zebra G or Nikko G nib
• Blue Pumpkin nib
• Black sumi ink (liquid)
• Vellum or tracing paper
• Smooth Laser Printer Paper (120 gsm (or “32 lb”))
• Small wide mouth ink jar (15 ml) or dropper bottle
• Paper towel for nib cleaning

Printable practice sheets (basic strokes, alphabet guides, and connection drills) will be provided in advance.

Handedness Note ⸻
Left-handed students are fully welcome. A straight pen holder is often more comfortable for left-handed writers, and slight paper positioning adjustments will be demonstrated during the lesson.
