If you are looking for an acting coach, Ophelie is absolutely the person for you! We worked together at Opera NEO in 2019, and she was truly a delight to work with. Ophelie is encouraging and supportive. She does an excellent job of letting you follow your own instincts as an actor while also directing and helping find specificity. In my arias she was able to help me think deeper about the meaning behind the words and the music, and during our main-stage production of Cenerentola she was able to bring my character (Tisbe, one of the step sisters) into being a complicated and complex character with real emotional arc. I would love to work with Ophelie in the future, and can't recommend her enough to others!

Ich kenne Ophelie seit über 15 Jahren. Sie ist sehr empathisch und geht ihrer Arbeit mit Leidenschaft und kritischem Verständnis nach. I worked with Ophelie at MAI ("Music Academy International"- an opera program based in Trentino, Italy) in 2018. Ophelie was the staging director of our production, "Hänsel and Gretel", and I was one of the title characters on set, so we worked together almost constantly for the entire program.

Working with Ophelie was such a delight. It was educational, rewarding, and so empowering to be directed by such a well-spoken, intelligent person who could so clearly communicate her artistic vision. She also demonstrated a huge amount of emotional intelligence and empathy, which I believe is crucially important in directing any performance. Her emotional integrity allowed her to not only connect with each of us as performers, but to also help us understand our character's individual experiences and inner lives, which ultimately lead us to executing a realistically dramatic performances that pulled the audience into the story with us.

Among all of this Ophelie is always mightily prepared, orderly, and professional, while simply being a fun person to be around. She humbly inspires the best in all of her performers and crew, and lead the production with drive and gusto. We were very lucky to have such a fantastic director.
