I had this teacher for IB biology SL. He was great, patient, good and different methods, and teaching skills which overstepped the lessons, and made you value him as a whole.

Genuinely good person who cares about his students improvement all the while managing to be efficient in his teaching style. He’s very knowledgeable about the content he teaches and is able to tailor explanations for the specific demographic he has to teach. Good for high level and in detail explanations, much recommended for up to university level material, having taught IB for many years.

He was my main teacher/tutor for the IB in highschool and I can say he is a delightful teacher! I think he strikes a remarkably nice balance between being fun and actually knowing and helping you learn. He is consistently exceptional in giving insightful guidance, which is really where a teacher shines.

He is good at adapting to the student's style: I've seen him lean more into the personal connection aspect to help students feel understood, but he is also good at being "matter of fact" and clear (which a more introverted student like me generally preferred!)

Whereas some "laid back" teachers lack concrete and deep knowledge, Javier was always knowledgeable, well-read and gave good feedback. As a specific example, for a lot of IB projects, most teachers gave vague feedback generally based on their previous knowledge from the pre-IB system, but Javier clearly knew the IB-specific rubrics and style well.

Again, this kind of "high level" guidance which is not obvious is where a teacher is best, and I think Javier delivers on it wonderfully, while also being a really fun all-around person to be with!

Javier was my teacher during my IB years and he was one of the best professors I could have had. Not only is he good at teaching but also at encouraging you to learn and make you surpass yourself. Nonetheless, the reason why I would recommend Javier as teacher is the relationship he builds with you, if you have a doubt regarding the course, you can rely on him and he will help you happily.

I had the pleasure of having Mr. Javier as a teacher during the most crucial years of high school, and I can honestly say he is an exceptional educator. He is very patient and always attentive to his students’ needs. It’s clear that he’s passionate about teaching, which makes every class more engaging and enjoyable.
What stands out the most is that he genuinely cares about his students truly learning and understanding the material, and not just about exam results. He will take the time to ensure everything is clear and is always willing to explain concepts from different angles if needed.
Overall, he is a dedicated, thoughtful, and passionate tutor, and I recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone.
