À propos de Joan
Joan showed an interest in learning music at a very early age, and it has been part of his life ever since. In September 2025, he will begin a master's degree in performance at the Zurich University of the Arts, in the class of the versatile violinist Sergey Malov. He began his career with the Suzuki method, later continuing his training with Luís Roig and Vicente Balaguer at the conservatories of Carcagente and Torrent. He recently obtained his bachelor's degree in violin from the University of Geneva (Haute École de Musique) under the tutelage of maestro Tedi Papavrami. At 15, he was one of the youngest students to be accepted into this prestigious institution. During his alpine adventure, he has worked with renowned violinists such as Andrés Gabetta, Andrey Baranov, and Pavel Vernikov. He has also received advice from figures such as Vasko Vassilev, Aisha Syed, Svetlin Roussev, and members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, such as Volkard Steude, Milan Setena, and Thomas Hajek. In the field of chamber music, he has collaborated with the Diotima Quartet and the Quatuor Voce, as well as participating in masterclasses organized by the Lac Léman association with Mihaela Martin, Boris Kuschnir, Kim Kashkashian, Frans Helmerson, and Conrad Muck. He has performed with various orchestral groups, including the South Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Accademia d'Archi Arrigoni, HEM Orchestra, Moonwinds Sinfonico, CullerArts Orchestra, and Geneva Chamber Orchestra. He recently performed M. Bruch's Concerto No. 1 with the Dreamers in White Symphony Orchestra. He has also participated in festivals such as the Verbier Festival, “Le Bois qui Chant” (Château d'Oex), and the Young Euro Classic Music Festival in Berlin. In addition, he has performed at various venues such as the ADDA (Alicante), Casa de Cultura (Manises), Teatro Capitolio (Godella), Victoria Hall (Geneva), Salle de Musique (Neuchâtel), Schloss Esterhazy (Vienna), Salle Franz Liszt (Geneva), Salle de musique (Chaux Fonds), Konzerthaus (Berlin), Great Hall of Mozarteum Foundation (Salzburg), Combins Hall (Verbier), and the Opéra National du Rhin (Strasbourg). He has also won prizes in competitions such as the III Young Performers Competition “Ciudad de Sagunto,” the 13th Chamber Music Competition “Higini Anglès,” Amadeus International Music, BTHVN Wien Music, and the 4th International Competition “László Spezza Ferri.” He was a semifinalist in “Il Piccolo Violino Magico” (Italy) and won second prize in the II International Chamber Music Competition “Ciudad de Manises” (2023). In the orchestral field, he has participated in the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Summer Academy (Sommerakademie 2022), under the direction of Tomáš Hanus and Christoph Koncz. In 2024, he was part of the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra (Switzerland), conducted by maestros such as Simon Rattle, James Gaffigan, Ion Marin, and Vincenzo Milletari. He has attended violin masterclasses with Vadim Repin organized by the Geneva Conservatory of Music. In 2025, he will participate in orchestral concerts, chamber music recitals, and the Angelika Prokopp Academy of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. He complements his musical training with Professor José Miguel Sanz and forms a duo with pianist Carlos Apellániz (CPM Valencia).
